On Friday September 22nd, 2023, UBA Kenya embarked on a meaningful corporate social responsibility mission as a part of the UBA Read Africa Initiative held at Miritini Complex Secondary School and Miritini Primary and Junior Secondary School, located in the outskirts of Mombasa Town, within the Mikindani ward. Our mission was twofold: to donate 250 literature books and to nurture the environment through planting 300 trees.

– 27th July 2022: We continue supporting Kenyan Business with relevant financial solutions. Kaptagat Tree Planting
15th July 2022: As a brand, we are intentional in Environmental Conservation through the UBA Foundation. On 15th July 2022, the UBA Kenya team participated in the Kaptagat Tree Planting Initiative which was graced by Eliud Kipchoge where we purchased and planted 1000 seedlings. This initiative was led by our CEO, Chike Isiuwe and Executive Director, Mary Mulili and is in line with our UBA Foundation pillar of Environmental Conservation
KNCCI Membership
25th July 2022: On 25th July 2022, UBA Kenya officially became a Patron Member of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We are proud to be associated with Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Our CEO Chike Isiuwe received the Membership Certificate from the Cabinet Minister of Health, Honourable Mutahi Kagwe during the KNCCI Members Breakfast held at the Hilton Hotel in Nairobi.
UBA Foundation Read Africa initiative donates books to SOS Primary School BuruBuru on 16th June 2022
16th June 2022: UBA Kenya through the UBA Foundation Read Africa Initiative, donated over 800 copies of “What Sunny saw in the flames” to the SOS Primary School BuruBuru in commemoration and celebration of the International Day of the African Child where a Group from UBA Kenya engaged and gave insights to students on the importance of education in creating an enabling environment for their future career choices.

– 25th October 2021: The Board and Management officially opened our 4th branch in Nakuru County. The new branch located at Vickers House, Kenyatta street was officiated by a ribbon cutting ceremony graced by the CECM Minister of Finance, Nakuru County Dr. Peter Ketyenya.

26th November 2021: UBA Kenya through the UBA foundation Read Africa initiative donated over 500 books to the Istiqama School at Mombasa County. This was an initiative that will go a long way in driving a reading culture among the students at the school. The UBA Kenya CEO, Chike Isiuwe and Executive Director also gave a motivational talk to the students which left a lasting impression on how to excel in their studies and start planning ahead for their future success.UBA staff engage in a clean up exercise on Moi Avenue.
